MISSION STATEMENT

National Council for Black Studies exists to promote academic excellence and social responsibility in the discipline of Africana/Black Studies through the production and dissemination of knowledge, professional development and training, and advocacy for social change and social justice.

The National Council for Black Studies (EIN:  35-1444611) is a tax-exempt 501 c(3) organization.  Contributions to NCBS are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Poetry Slam is going to be broadcast live on F The Poetry Slam is going to be broadcast live on Facebook.  It is a featured session of the 45th National Council for Black Studies Virtual Conference that is open to the public. Hosted by the NCBS Keto Fellows.
Keto Fellows are members of the Dr. Tsehloane C. Keto Student Leadership Development and Mentorship Program, which provides leadership training to the next generation of young scholars and professionals who will assume positions of responsibility in the field of Africana Studies and in the African Diaspora community.
